Omar Abdullah Remarks: Regarding the Lok Sabha elections 2024, National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has indicated to distance himself from the opposition parties. He said that he will contest the elections keeping distance from the Grand Alliance against BJP. Explaining the reason behind this, he said that most of the opposition parties were keeping silence regarding the Article 370 issue.
He also said that it would be premature to talk about a pre-poll alliance before the bugle for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections is sounded. “What contribution can we make outside Jammu and Kashmir? We have a total of five Lok Sabha seats and what storm can come from these five seats? We need BJP’s support in these seats,” Abdullah told reporters on his arrival in the border Rajouri district. Have to compete.
What did Omar Abdullah say on alliance with opposition parties
Regarding the grand alliance, Omar Abdullah said, “Such an alliance does not see any benefit for the party and Jammu and Kashmir. I am repeatedly saying that when they need us, they knock on our door. When the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal is in trouble then he needs our support but where were these leaders in 2019 when we were cheated big time.” He was talking on the issue of abrogation of Article 370 on behalf of the Central Government.
Omar Abdullah mentioned the supporting parties
Omar Abdullah said, “Those who are shouting to protect the constitution and democracy today, where were they when we faced the murder of democracy. They did not raise their voice against it and they supported the move in the parliament. Just four There are parties (DMK, Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress and two Left parties) who have always stood with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Barring these four parties, show someone who has supported us wholeheartedly.”
