Violence In Manipur: The ethnic violence that started in Manipur is not taking the name of stopping, despite the peace efforts of the state and central government, the continuous armed conflict between the Kuki and Meitei community is going on. Now the central government has called an all-party meeting to give official information about it. The sharp reaction of the Congress has come to the fore on this meeting. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said, Congress has now woken up from sleep.
Home Ministry spokesperson tweeted, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called an all-party meeting on June 24 at 3 pm in New Delhi to discuss the situation in Manipur. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sharma made this announcement after meeting the Home Minister on Wednesday. Sharma is also the convenor of the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA). Sharma had visited Imphal a few days ago and met Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and several other leaders.

Reacting to the all-party meeting called on Manipur, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said, the government woke up after Sonia Gandhi’s message, not imposing President’s rule in the state is a joke with the people there.

Venugopal further said, PM’s absence in the all-party meeting is his cowardice, he said, this meeting should be held in Manipur instead of Delhi, he said, lack of seriousness would be seen by holding the meeting in Delhi.
