Jamia To Soon Open Medical College: Professor Najma Akhtar, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia University, announced in a program that a medical college will be opened here soon. He told that permission has been received from the Union Government for this and his dream of opening a medical college will be fulfilled in a few days. He said that JMI had detristry, physiotherapy, first aid health centers etc. but the medical college was missing. Now this too will be done soon.

Speaking at a ceremony, JMI VC Professor Najma Akhtar said, ‘As a VC, I have always requested for a medical college. I have made this request on behalf of my students and faculty. We had requested the Government of India in this regard and I am very happy to inform that permission has been given to JMI to make it a medical college. Now a medical college will be built in the campus. He also said that along with this, JMI will soon open an international campus in the Middle East.
The VC also talked about the ranking of JMI. He said that Jamia has come in the top three institutes in NIRF ranking. This has happened for the second time in a row. According to the report of Indian Express, he also said that in the last few years, Jamia has got a good position in international rankings. The convocation of the centenary year is going on here. This function has been organized in Vigyan Bhawan.
so many students will get degree
About 12500 students will be given degrees and diplomas in this function. These also include those students who have graduated in the year 2019 and 2020. The chief guest of this event was Jagdeep Dhankhar, Vice President of India. Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also presided over the convocation.
