Meghna Naidu on being called B Grade actress: In the year 2002, Meghna Naidu, who became the heartbeat of millions with the remix of Lata Mangeshkar’s famous song ‘Kaliyo Ka Chaman’, worked in some Telugu and Kannada films before stepping into Bollywood. After Kaliyon Ka Chaman, she appeared in many popular music videos like ‘Dil De Diya Tha’.
Meghna, who stayed away from the camera for almost 5 years, is now making a comeback again. About 13 years ago, he made Dubai his home and married a tennis player from Portugal. Meghna was last seen in ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ in the year 2016.
Stopped going to Bollywood parties
Talking about his comeback, he told ETimes that he is happy to return to the industry at a time when actors have a chance to experiment more with their roles. He said- Initially when I was called hot and sexy. I used to love it then, but later I realized that it was hindering my growth. I was seen as a sex object, which bothered me. I rejected such Hindi films, in which I had to do kissing or love making scenes. I wanted to play different types of characters, but no one used to offer me such roles. I stopped attending Bollywood parties because I was called a B-grade actress.

Meghna says that even though she has done small budget films, filmmakers respect her. Right now actors have a lot of opportunities to experiment and I am very happy about this.
Meghna’s film career
Meghna made her Bollywood debut in the year 2004 with the film ‘Havas’. After this she appeared in films like ‘Jackpot’, ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum 3’. She has also done reality shows like ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, ‘Dancing Queen’ and ‘MTV Fanaa’. Meghna has also appeared in daily soaps, including serials like ‘Jodha Akbar’, ‘Adalat’ and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’.
