K Kavitha On Hindi Language: Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao’s (KCR) daughter K. Kavita has accused the Center of imposing Hindi. BRS MLC Kavitha on Wednesday (June 21) said, “There is no need to impose language during his address to the Telangana Sahitya Sabha.” He stressed that every language has its own importance and one should not undermine others.
Kavita said, “We will break any rule of Hindi imposition. As literature lovers, we like Hindi language literature, but if rules are imposed on us, we will not follow them.” Kavita was addressing the inaugural function of the two-day Telangana Sahitya Sabha organized by Bharat Jagruti at the Telangana Saraswat Parishad here.
Telangana Sahitya Sabha
The Telangana Sahitya Sabha was started on Wednesday (June 21) at the Telangana Saraswat Parishad in Hyderabad Abids under the chairmanship of Kavitha. On this occasion, he presented Professor Kothapalli Jaishankar’s Distinguished Literature Award to Acharya N Gopi. He was presented with Rs 1 lakh 1 thousand 16 and Golden Kankanam as part of the award.
What did Kavita say about Hindi?
Kavita said, “Hindi is beautiful and my favorite language too. Words in Hindi songs are amazing. Except Telangana, no state in the country gives salary and respect to artistes. TS government honored by paying salary to more than 530 artistes. Still working.”
Tribute to Professor Jaishankar
Paying tribute to Professor Jaishankar, Kavita said that Jaishankar always asked to support writers, because speaking a hundred words is equal to writing one word. He said that Jagruti will do many programs in this direction. Many poets and writers kept their point in this ceremony.
