There are 4 yoga exercises to balance the hormones. Here are 4 effective yoga poses to balance hormones.

Many times these hormones become imbalanced, due to which various types of health problems have to be faced. In case of hormonal imbalance, you may have to face sudden weight gain or weight loss. Apart from this, depression, anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, infertility, irregular periods, low libido and abnormal appetite are also included in its symptoms.

However, by changing some lifestyle habits and keeping yourself physically active, you can overcome this problem. Especially yogasanas help you a lot in balancing hormones. Practicing certain yoga poses on a regular basis is extremely beneficial for overall health while keeping your hormones balanced.

Health Shots spoke to Julie Wagle, ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer and Founder of Metabolix, about yoga exercises to maintain hormonal balance. He has suggested the names of some effective yogasanas to maintain hormonal balance (Yoga to balance hormones), so let’s know the right way to do them.

First learn how yoga can be helpful in balancing hormones

1. There are some special yoga exercises which are very beneficial for the overall body. It maintains all your body functions, including hormonal balance. These yoga practices promote the production of hormones in a balanced amount and distribute it in the body as per the need.

2. The process of breathing during yoga practice helps in stimulating the endocrine system, so that the body hormones can function more effectively.

3. Sometimes hormones become unbalanced due to excessive stress, in such a situation yoga practice helps you to release stress. Many scientific studies also claim that yoga reduces stress. Pranayama, meditation, etc. along with yoga exercises are also beneficial for your overall body function.

Here are 4 effective yoga poses to balance hormones

1. Trikonasana

Separate both the legs comfortably and stand up.

Slowly raise both the hands to the sides till they become horizontal.

Then exhale and slowly bend to the right side, keeping the right hand behind the right leg.

During this, keep your left hand straight upwards.

Now fold the left palm forward.

Then turn your head down and look at the tip of the left middle finger.

Now keep breathing normal and stay in this posture for 10 to 20 seconds.

When the time is up, inhale and come up. Repeat the same from the left side as well.

2. Adhomukhasvanasana (downward facing dog)

To get into this pose, first of all, come in the table top position on your palms and knees.

Then slowly lift the waist upwards. During this, keep your elbows and knees firmly on the surface.

Lift your hips and see that your body is forming an inverted “v” shape.

Now press the palms down on the ground surface and stretch the neck.

Stay in this posture for a few seconds and then come back to the normal position by relaxing the knees on the ground.

3. Balasana (child pose)

To do this yoga, first of all sit in the posture of Vajrasana.

During this the spine has to be kept straight.

Now take a deep breath and raise both the hands straight upwards.

Exhale and tilt the upper part of the waist ie your house forward.

To bend completely, see that the head is adjacent to the surface.

Then bend both the hands forward and stretch them straight.

Remain in this pose for a few seconds. Then slowly come back to normal posture.

For the result, repeat this process at least 5 to 6 times.

4. Bhujangasana (cobra pose)

To get into this pose, first lie down on your stomach.

Now keep the shoulders and palms in place and take a deep breath.

Then lift the head, chest and abdomen, that is, above you.

During this, look straight up and keep a firm grip on the surface with your hands.

Press the abs and toes towards the floor.

Breathe in while going up and exhale while coming down.

Repeat this process at least 7 to 8 times for proper results.
