Vinesh Phogat Allegation: Vinesh Phogat, one of the wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh till a few days ago, has made serious allegations against a news agency. Accusing the news agency Reuters, he said that he was quoted very wrongly during the on-record interview.
Vinesh Phogat has tweeted about this and has made allegations while keeping his point. Earlier, he had made another tweet in which he accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of troubling women wrestlers by running political power and false narratives. That is why his arrest is necessary.
What did Vinesh Phogat write in the tweet?
Tagging Reuters and journalist, Wrestler Vinesh Phogat writes, “Reuters journalist, Rupam Jain interviews me and publishes a very wrong story. When I try to argue that she quoted me wrongly at many places in the story, she threatens me that this is not a Hindi newspaper, that I will change whatever I want.” Vinesh Phogat did this tweet on Saturday night at around 11.25 pm.
However, the word he focused on the most, ‘misquoted’, was not mentioned anywhere. At the same time, till the time of writing the news from Reuters and the journalist, there has been no response on this matter.
At the same time, according to Hindustan Times, the news agency is claiming that this is Vinesh Phogat’s first interview after the Delhi Police’s crackdown on wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar on May 28.
